Jesus is Everything I need.
I don’t know about you all but when you read that sentence you are probably nodding your head and agreeing. Most of us, if we grow up in a Christian family are taught that Jesus is all we need. We read verses, we sing songs and we hear sermons all saying that Jesus is everything.

Now I’m not saying that Jesus isn’t everything. Of course he is!!! Jesus is everything. JESUS IS EVERYTHING!!!!! But do you believe it? You say it, you know it. But do you believe it? Do you live like it?
If you lost everything, would you be content with just Jesus?
If you lost your parents?
If you lost your siblings?
If you lost your house?
If you lost your popularity?
If you lost your job, your source of income?
If you lost your friends?
If you lost your spouse or boyfriend?
If you lost your sense of purpose?
If you lost all your possessions?
If you lost your ability to move? To see? To speak?
Would you be okay with ONLY Jesus?
I want to think I would be….. but would I?
I’ve never really lost much. I’m very blessed and have never lost anyone close to me.
Three years ago, our landlady decided to sell the farm we lived on. It’s a long story but it looked like it may go to auction. My Grandpa was unsure if he could afford it. It was a scary time. I love our farm and I didn’t want to have to move!
Thankfully, my Grandpa and Uncle were able to buy the farm and we are still here. But if we weren’t would I be content?
I can’t say for sure. It’s hard to know when I have all these blessings. But these are just some things I’ve been pondering. Would I really be okay with ONLY Jesus. Would he be enough to satisfy me? Do satisfy all my longings? Yes, He would. But how do I live that out when I have all these wonderful blessings?!?!?
