The grave is empty.
Death has no sting
Hope has risen.
He is alive!!!!
Happy Easter everyone!!!
Imagine with me for a moment. You’ve been following Jesus for 3 years… your life finally has meaning. You were so lost, but now that you’ve been with Jesus and listened to him speak, you feel alive. Then he’s arrested. You watch him hanging on that cross, crying out forgiveness for those who have hurt him. Then He breathes his last. It’s over. You had hoped that maybe He was the Messiah. You had even dared to believe. But the stone is rolled across the tomb. You’re confused. Nothing makes sense anymore.
It’s not supposed to stop there, is it?…. but millions of people face this confusion every day. And most of them don’t know what they are missing. They’ve lied to many times to know the truth. They think they can make it through without God. But deep down, life is confusing. It’s empty, and meaningless. They face the world every day without true hope. What ever happens, all they have is themselves. Death is the end…. This life is all you got. Suffering is just that – suffering. Pain and sickness is worthless.
But for those who have come to the end of themselves and realize they need something more…. for those who choose to believe….
One morning, three days later, the stone is rolled away. The tomb is empty! Jesus stands before you and shows you his nail pierced hands. You see the bigger picture. The fog clears. It makes sense! He was condemned for your crimes. He paid the price for your life. He saved you and released you from your guilt and shame. And He didn’t do it just for you- but for everyone. Billions and Billions of people….. Trillions and Trillions of sins….. He took them all…. And He washed them away with his blood.
He is Risen!!!
Happy Easter my friends!
Always remember how much Jesus has paid to bring you close to himself. He died for those who will never accept his gift. He went through pain for those would still reject Him. I hope one of those is not you.
