Good morning y’all and welcome to day 2!
I had a grand weekend at the cabin and made a lot of memories!! The whole weekend I didn’t go to bed before 12, so that’s why this post is a little late – I slept in ๐
So today I’m going to be sharing a tag that I created last year – with updated answers and a new question!

โListen to some Christmas music while to do this post and have fun!!
1. When do you start getting excited for Christmas?
Usually when it starts getting cold. Maybe when the first snow falls, or mid-November. It all depends on the year! I love putting in my earbuds and belting out some songs while I work in the lettuce house. So if it’s an extra cold day I may do that before Thanksgiving. Usually, I try to wait till after to start listening to Christmas music. This year I didn’t, lol!
2. Is your Christmas real or fake?
This year it’s real! And very live! We have it out on the porch and plan to plant it after Christmas ๐ค
3. Do you like giving or receiving better?
Umm, both!?! The older I get the more I enjoy shopping and finding fun gifts for people (though I overthink it waay too much), but I do still enjoy receiving them myself.
4. What’s your favorite Christmas movie?
The Messengers (The Chosen Christmas episode) is now right up there with The Nativity Story. The Nativity is still my favorite full-length movie, but The Messengers is probably my ultimate favorite!
5. What’s your all time favorite Christmas/holiday dessert?
Mmm still peanut butter pie like I said before. Also I really enjoy baking and eating Christmas cookies with the family! ๐
6. What’s your favorite Christmas/winter drink?
Hot Chocolate made with milk, topped with mini marshmallows and a candy cane ๐
7. Have you ever had a white Christmas? (include picture *wink*)
So last year we had some snow – not much but a little!! (but sorry, I don’t have a good pic!)
8. Where do you usually spend the holiday?
Usually at home with family. Dad grills or smokes something special and Mom makes other special food, and we hang out, do a gift exchange and maybe watch a Christmas movie and just relax. This year we went to the cabin with my Mom’s family the weekend before Christmas and the day after Christmas we will be with my Dad’s family!
9. Are you a pro Christmas wrapper? Or do you fail every time you try?
I get more and more pro each year, lol.
10. Why do you love Christmas? (Keeping the same answer as last year)
Christmas is such a warm and comforting holiday. The miracle of Christ’s birth is so overwhelming and wonderful. I love all the warm drinks, coziness, family togetherness, and wonderfully shiver-giving music that makes me want to cry! If it wasn’t for Christmas, we wouldn’t have Easter. Christmas is where it all began. Our Savior, as a helpless baby. And He came for us! What a miracle.
11. What’s something new you learned about Christmas this year, or something God has taught you)
While watching The Messengers, I learned some of this, and then learned a little more from my aunt this weekend – Shepherds would wrap their lambs for sacrifice in swaddling cloths and lay them in a manger to protect them from getting blemished. And Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God, who came into the world to sacrifice himself, was also wrapped in swaddling cloths and placed in a manger. Imagine how much that would mean to the lonely shepherds who came to bow to their Messiah. I just love this!
