Happy Mother’s Day

Dear Mom,

When I think of you, I think of someone who has always been there for me. Who is always willing to talk, to listen, to share advice. You love imparting wisdom to the younger generation and I know many, including myself, have been blessed by that.

When I think of you, I think of someone who is strong. You really are a super mom. Eleven kids and counting, farmer’s wife, homeschool mom – which means you are a science, history, literature (and more) teacher all at once! And you still find time to getaway and spend time with Jesus.

When I think of you, I think of someone who has their priorities straight. You house isn’t always clean. The laundry isn’t always done on time. You can’t keep plants alive. But you care about more important things. You kids are loved, fed, and they’re alive. They learn the important things – like how to love God and others.

When I think of you, I think of someone who has faced a lot of hardship. You are going through something really hard right now – we all are – and yet I can see that you still trust God. You still love Him. You may be questioning why this, but you aren’t questioning His faithfulness.

When I think of you, I think of someone I want to be like. I want your faith, your vulnerability, your compassion, your trust.

I know it hard, but don’t give up. With God’s help, you’re doing a good job.

I love you, Mom!
