Playlist “PAIN” – It is Well

Hey all! So I’ve decided to make this an official Sunday tradition. I plan to share a song from one of my playlists each week. I think I shared a few randomly this winter, but I wanted to make it more regular. Right now I’m sharing from my playlist entitled “Pain” – songs about hardships, struggles, and God’s faithfulness. Today is the song, It Is Well. This song has really spoken to me the past few months as my family is going through some hard things. ‘Through it all, my eyes are on Him. It is well.’

When sharing songs, I try to share ones that I believe are honoring and glorifying to God and edifying to the Christian soul. But I understand that everyone has different convictions and I do not want to cause anyone to stumble. Please be discerning and wise when choosing what you listen to and watch. If you are young, talk to your parents. Always ask yourself the question: “Is this something I would want to be listening to with Jesus? Would He be okay with this?” Keep that conscience alive, it’s a gift from God and needs to be sharp and ready for action.

Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

It Is Well

Grander earth has quaked before
Moved by the sound of His voice
And seas that are shaken and stirred
Can be calmed and broken for my regard

Through it all, through it all
My eyes are on You
Through it all, through it all
It is well
Through it all, through it all
My eyes are on You
And it is well with me

Far be it from me to not believe
Even when my eyes can’t see
And this mountain that’s in front of me
Oh, will be thrown into the midst of the sea

Let go, my soul, and trust in Him
The waves and wind still know His name
